Jesus Series Overview:

This five-episode series explores the life and legacy of Jesus Christ, focusing on His humanity,
miracles, teachings, actions, the significance of His sacrifice, and the lasting impact He left on
the world.

Episode 1: The Humanity of Jesus

Opening Segment (5 minutes):

Host Introduction: Welcome the audience, introduce the show’s theme, and provide an overview
of the series. Explain that this first episode will focus on the humanity of Jesus.

Icebreaker Question: "When you think of Jesus, do you think of Him more as God or as a man?
Why?" Encourage teens to share their initial thoughts.

Main Discussion (10 minutes):

Discussion Points:
1. Jesus as Fully Human: Explain the concept of Jesus being fully human while also being fully
God. Discuss how He experienced human emotions, hunger, thirst, and fatigue, just like us.
2. Biblical Examples of Jesus' Humanity: Explore moments in the Bible where Jesus' humanity
is evident, such as when He wept at Lazarus' tomb (John 11:35) and when He experienced
agony in the Garden of Gethsemane (Matthew 26:36-39).
3. Why Jesus’ Humanity Matters: Discuss why it’s important for us to understand Jesus’
humanity. Emphasize that His experiences make Him relatable to us and show that He
understands our struggles.

Relatable Jesus: Invite teens to share situations in their lives where they find comfort in knowing

feeding the 5,000, and calming the storm. Emphasize how these miracles demonstrated His
divine power and compassion.
2. Teachings of Jesus: Explore key teachings of Jesus, such as the Sermon on the Mount
(Matthew 5-7), the parables, and the command to love one another. Discuss how His teachings
offer guidance for living a life that pleases God.
3. The Purpose of Miracles and Teachings: Explain that Jesus' miracles and teachings were
not just to show His power but to reveal God’s love, kingdom, and plan for humanity.

and the reasons behind them.

Discussion Starter: "What’s one action of Jesus that stands out to you? What do you think
motivated Him?" Encourage teens to share their thoughts.

Main Discussion (10 minutes):

Discussion Points:
1. Jesus’ Actions of Compassion: Discuss how Jesus consistently showed compassion, such
as when He fed the hungry, healed the sick, and comforted the grieving. Emphasize that love
and compassion were the driving forces behind these actions.
2. Jesus’ Actions of Righteousness: Explore how Jesus also took bold actions to stand up for
what is right, such as cleansing the temple (Matthew 21:12-13) and confronting hypocrisy.
Highlight that Jesus was motivated by a desire to honor God and uphold truth.
3. The Ultimate Action – Sacrifice: Discuss how the ultimate action of Jesus was His sacrificial
death on the cross. Explain that this act was motivated by His love for humanity and His desire
to reconcile us with God.

those situations based on what they’ve learned about His actions and motivations.

Episode 4: Jesus – The Gift

that in your life?" Invite teens to share their reflections.

Main Discussion (10 minutes):

1. Jesus as God’s Gift to the World: Discuss John 3:16, explaining that Jesus was given to the
world by God out of love. Emphasize that this gift is the greatest act of love and grace ever
offered.
2. The Gift of Salvation: Explain that through Jesus’ death and resurrection, we are offered the
gift of salvation—a way to be forgiven of sins and to have eternal life with God. Discuss
Ephesians 2:8-9, which speaks of salvation as a gift of grace.

history, culture, and countless lives around the world. Emphasize how His legacy continues to

live by His teachings, and spread His message of love and salvation. Discuss the Great
Commission (Matthew 28:18-20) as part of this legacy.
