Meaning of Work Ethos

• Work ethos refers to the set of values, beliefs, and


principles that shape an individual's attitude and behavior
toward their work. It encompasses qualities such as
dedication, responsibility, reliability, integrity, and a
commitment to delivering quality outcomes. A strong work
ethos drives people to consistently perform at their best,
maintain high standards, and contribute positively to their
organization.

Example: An employee who consistently goes the extra


mile, takes on additional tasks, and works late to ensure
that projects are completed on time.
