Bahamut, god of justice, wind, and good dragons in the

Draconic pantheon (with a popular following among non-
dragon races as well), is a strong ally in the cause of upholding
law and order. Although the Lord of the North Wind can be at
times too biased for Amaunator’s sense of fairness, they are
able to get along well because Bahamut has a respectable sense
of prudence in his approach to most situations.

Symbol: A white circle and a black circle, each connected by

the white circle’s chain curved upwards and the black circle’s

his judgements of guilt, but when it comes to punishments, Fa

lenient towards of good intent. Amaunator may disagree with
Fa Kuan on the fairness of punishments but otherwise the two
gods work well on complicated legal matters that require both

Surya (Lawful Good)

Symbol: A half sun, curve-side up.

Surya is the god of morning and evening in the Vedic

pantheon of Kara-Tur. Although the Dutiful Sun is often
biased in how he treats criminals that harm his faithful, his
devotion to his responsibilities has earned Amaunator’s
respect. As a devoted protector of Realmspace’s Sun, Surya is
diligent in his lookout for potential threats.

Tian-mu (Lawful Good)

Symbol: A Sunrise emerging from the mouth of a cup or
chalice.

Tian-mu is the goddess of fertility and the Sun in the Celestial

Bureaucracy pantheon of Kara-Tur. As the wife of the
Celestial Emperor Shang-ti (leader of the Celestial
Bureaucracy), the Mother of Heaven considers it her duty to
always be well-versed in the rules and etiquette of all
pantheons that have a relationship with the Celestial
Bureaucracy; for this reason, Amaunator is always pleased to
converse with Tian-mu when it comes to discussions of legal
merits. Should Realmspace’s Sun ever find itself in danger,
Tian-mu is able to call upon many gods from the Celestial
Bureaucracy to aid if necessary.

Tyr (Lawful Good)

Symbol: Balanced scales resting on the head of an upright
warhammer.

Tyr, the Faerûnian pantheon’s god of paladins, judges,

magistrates, lawyers, police, and the oppressed, is a powerful
force for justice. As such, Amaunator welcomes the
cooperation of the Maimed God in upholding the rule of law.
Although Tyr’s penchant towards disregarding laws that he
considers unjust will occasionally conflict with Amaunator’s
harsher stance on legal compliance, such disagreements do not
occur regularly enough to form a wedge in their working
relationship. There is a mutual respect between their respective
churches for promoting systems of law and justice, even if
their faithful might find themselves advocating for opposing
sides of legal cases.

Falazure is the Draconic pantheon’s god of decay, undeath,

dragonkind into unliving monstrosities, placing him at odds
with the anti-undead policies of the Yellow God. Since undead
dragons tend to be particularly difficult to deal with,
Amaunator dreads reports of Falazure’s cult preparing to raise
such monsters in the realms.

The image in the mirror returned to its normal
reflection. At’ar then requested that Edorus keep what he had
just witnessed a secret for the time being, to prevent the chaos
in the church from escalating further. The cleric swore to
protect the secret unto death and beyond, lest the forces of evil
and darkness use such a revelation to exploit weaknesses within
the organization of the faithful; it would be a great tragedy to
share knowledge that the world was not ready for.

That was how Edorus Nalva, faithful of Lathander,

became a faithful of Amaunator, at least on the surface. He
chose to pen this revelation in secret and safely stored his
accounts in hopes that it would be useful one day. Perhaps that
day is now.

It is my belief that if the journal’s accounts are true,

the Morninglord preserved the essence of Amaunator within
his own body to atone for the sin of driving the Keeper of Law
to an unfortunate demise. It could then be surmised that the
spirit of Amaunator endured through the ages, perhaps
influencing Lathander at times, and vice versa after they
switched places in the wake of the Spellplague.

I believe that if the journal’s accounts are true, the

Morninglord was trying to reassemble the halves of Tyche into
one with a powerful ritual magic, but failed to do so. The
artifact used for the ritual must have been so dangerous that it
was worth the sacrifice for a god to give his life in sealing the
sphere’s power. I believe that the sphere made it possible for
the two deities to merge while preserving Amaunator’s
individuality.

In my opinion, the faithful of Lathander and

Amaunator deserve to know some measure of this theory,
enough to contemplate the ramifications to a degree of
satisfaction, but not so much as to reveal the possible existence
of this Chamber of Time, which if it truly does exist, could
produce a catastrophic future in the wrong hands. I therefore
request that a limited version of this story be distributed to our
scholarly peers among the realms, so that there can be healthy
discussion and conversation to replace the tumult of our
churches’ confusion.

Sunrise Elder, I pray that this message reaches you

safely, and that you will agree to my proposal.

May the dawn bring you blessings.
