Bull and Bear Trap in Price Action Manipulation Trading
The most basic form of Market Maker price manipulation that trader can use to spot how retail traders are being trapped at
certain key Swing High/Lows levels. And it also gives us a clue whether Stop Losses placed by majority of retail traders are
being taken out for accumulation or distribution purposes. As PAM traders, we use such signals to consider trading alongside
the Market Maker.
Identify Swing High Breakout traders trapped
- N shaped or inverted V shaped price action. Price action goes up and
down.
- Draw horizontal line at highest point of price action – tail or body

What is a Bull Trap?


- Price action goes above swing high and close back below swing high Swing High Price sells off
- Shows that traders who bought the breakout has been trapped
- Likely to see price action heading lower as breakout traders cut loss
Identify Swing Low
- U shaped or V shaped price action. Price action goes down and up.
- Draw horizontal line at lowest point of price action – tail or body

What is a Bear Trap?


- Price action goes below swing low and close back above the swing
low
- Shows that traders who bought the breakdown has been trapped
- Likely to see price action heading higher as breakdown traders cut loss Swing Low
