1. From the PPSTs, the Southeast Asia Teachers Competency Standards and the

TEDx videos that you viewed, what competencies does a great teacher possess?

A excellent teacher possesses skills they are aware of and comprehend what they impart
knowledge. Additionally, they incorporate the neighborhood into their lesson, which instills in the
idea that everything is interrelated and that students should respect experiential learning. Also,
they help pupils study in a way that that they can share best practices and cultivate a passion
for learning that lasts a lifetime. A teacher have the willingness to pay attention to their pupils,
possess communication abilities, understand how to Be patient, adopt, and work together.

2. Are these competencies limited only to professional competencies?

In my opinion is yes because professional skills are the abilities and traits that are
particularly learned from professional associations meaning that to possess such skill must be
proficient.

3. For a teacher to be great, is it enough to possess the professional competencies to plan a

lesson, execute a lesson plan, manage a class, assess learning, compute and report grades?
Explain your answer.

- Having the professional skills necessary to organize a session, carry out a lesson plan,
oversee a class, evaluate student learning, calculate grades, and report them. enough.
Possessing professional competencies will help them perform their duties. Okay. Additionally,
an excellent teacher would inspire pupils and make them enjoy the topic, and motivate them to
surpass the understanding that he or she imparts in the classroom. I firmly think that excellent
educators are informed about their subject and is able to interact with students in a
knowledgeable and professional manner. way. Therefore, possessing professional
competencies is more than sufficient to make I think they are an excellent teacher.
4. For a teacher to be great, which is more important, personal qualities or professional
competencies?

- A teacher's personal qualities and professional competencies are equally crucial, and a I
think a teacher wouldn't be complete without both of them. Individual Teachers must possess
traits like effective communication abilities in order to recognize their students' needs.
Professional attributes or proficiencies are also necessary since they enable you to understand
the basic techniques of instruction, methods, and practical experience to address a variety of
pupils. Additionally, a teacher with these two attributes has an advantage since they will enable
them to become excellent teachers.

5. Who are the teachers that we remember most?

- I think i would remember most is not the kindest but the one who give us a lesson that we
would carry on our journey througout our lifetime. The one who guide us and added some value
to us growing.

1. Which personal traits do I possess? Not possess? Where do I need improvement in?

- I think I have a great communication skills for i have many job experience that required me
to adapt such skills. I'm lacking at time management which is a very important skills I must
practice.

2. Which professional competencies am I strongly capable of demonstrating?

- Using critical thinking, I may say that I can solve problems. I I can reassure them that I am
capable of making judgments, analyzing problems, and solving them. I am able to think of
solutions.

3. In which competencies do I need to develop more?

- I have to work on improving my classroom management, which includes helping students

take responsibility for their own behavior, high standards, and class procedures. It is very
important professional competencies that needs to be improved.

1. OBSERVE

- In assisting my Resource Teacher, I observed that personal traits such as good

communication skills to provide clear understanding for her students and professional
competencies like classroom management were least not displayed and as a result, students
were / class was experiencing such difficulties and problems in her class which can hinder on
her discussion of lesson

2. REFLECT

The lack of these personal traits and professional competencies (mentioned in

#1) maybe caused by lack of information, or she may not have explored much when it comes to
knowing the various personal traits and professional competencies a teacher must possess.

3. PLAN

- I would like to address the problem (mentioned in # 2) by conducting an action research on

the Facilitation and Classroom Management

a) The main objective of my action reseach are:

 To identify the difficulties that student have struggles to cope up with

 To implement various ways to make the students listen

 To determine the impact of teacher in the classroom

b) My specific research question are

 What are the difficulties experiencing by the students?

 What are the strategies to picked the interest of the students?

 What are the effect of the said strategies?

c) To answer my specific research questions, I as a future need to plan on how to implement

this successful methods and observe the results by conducting research.

One thing I discovered is that you have to look for all of your pupils' requirements
as a competent teacher in order to to offer or administer the suitable care for their
challenges. I also discovered that our top priority as aspiring teachers must be our
pupils' best interests. since it is among the most crucial parts of teaching while I
learned both professional competencies and personal attributes. Furthermore, that
teaching with professional competency offers a more supportive surroundings for kids
and expands their knowledge base, making them feel confident in the information they
learn from the instructor.It provides me an example of how these two attributes assist
you in achieving your objectives while also collaborating well with your pupils.

Gaining these abilities, or characteristics, which the training I'm taking now will be
very helpful to me. I'm prepared to put in a lot of effort to develop these abilities even
though I know it won't be simple. I will make every effort to cultivate each of the
competencies because, in my heart, each competence needs to be improved, and I want
to be the best at each one so that I can improve as a teacher for my pupils. Additionally,
I'd like to possess these attributes now that I'm midway through my future profession.
but I'd like to have those attributes in the near future. Even if it requires acceptance and
willingness to cultivate these attributes.

I came to see that in order to be a great teacher, you need to exhibit specific
competencies to fulfill the requirements of an excellent educator. Additionally, I
understood that having these two attributes would help me improve as a teacher in the
future it will also be , an enormous help to me because we'll soon be teaching.
