Duration: August 24-26,2024 (Whole Day Activity)
Venue: Basketball Court (Barangay Signe)
Rationale:
In accordance with Chapter 10 Section 439 of the Local Government Code of 1991 &
Section 30 of Republic Act No. 10742 of the Sangguniang Kabataan Reform Act of 2015
mandates every barangay, municipality, City, and province shall conduct an annual activity to
be known as “LINGGO NG KABATAAN”.
This celebration not only serves as a commemoration of young Filipino heroes who have
made significant contributions to the development of our country but also as a platform to
address the current challenges and opportunities facing today’s youth.
Modernization and rapid societal changes have brought about new challenges for the
youth of Brgy. Signe, particularly in terms of mental health. The increasing pressure from
academic demands, social media influence, family expectations, and the uncertainties brought
about by the global pandemic have significantly impacted the mental well-being of our young
people. This has resulted in a growing concern within the community regarding the mental
health of the youth, which needs to be addressed promptly and effectively.
Furthermore, in line with this year’s theme, "FROM CLICKS TO PROGRESS: YOUTH
DIGITAL PATHWAYS FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT," the Sangguniang Kabataan of Brgy.
Signe will hold a Digital Logo Making Contest to showcase the talent of our young artists and
designers. This contest aims to encourage creativity and innovation among the youth while
emphasizing the importance of digital skills in today’s rapidly evolving world.
Participants will be tasked with creating logos that not only represent the theme of
sustainable development but also reflect the unique identity and aspirations of the youth in
Brgy. Signe. The contest will serve as a platform for young individuals to express their ideas on
how digital technology can be harnessed to drive positive change in the community.
These activities will be the venue for our youth to gain the virtue of nationalism,
patriotism camaraderie and friendship that will enable them to become active, mentally
