DOs AND DONTs

DOs

1. Ensure medical examination of cadets is done by a qualified doctor as per format

given in general instructions.

2. Ensure cadets are trained to walk approx 15-20 Km daily for about a week prior to the
move for trek.

3. Ensure the cadets are given training in first aid and anti snake bite.

4. Ensure the cadets are in possession of items listed including trek shoes & ruck sacks.

5. Ensure onward and return rail reservation.

6. Ensure cadets strictly follow Division wise schedule for reporting and departure.

7. Ensure cadets are briefed about the trek in advance based on these instructions.

8. Ensure cadets are in possession of all documents.

9. Ensure that the cadets possess adequate cash for their pocket money and
expenditure connected with educational and sight-seeing tours.

10. Ensure JD cadets are equipped with trousers.

11. Ensure cadets follow all instructions issued by the camp authorities.

12. Ensure cadets are well prepared to take part in all camp activities including cultural
activities.

13. Ensure cadets take bath only at the earmarked places at the appointed time.

14. Ensure cadets follow buddy system and do not leave their Divisions throughout the
trek.

15. Ensure that tickets and adequate money are in possession before commencement of
travel.

16. Ensure cadets are turned out in proper uniform and maintain proper discipline while
moving in buses/ trains.

DONTs

17. Do not detrain or debus without instructions from the in charge.

18. Don't take any lift from strangers.

19. Don't divert from original trek routes.

20. Don't over eat or waste food.

21. Don't enter civilian living area or property.

22. Don't throw litter around.

23. Don't drink water from any unauthorized source en-route.

24. Don't walk or rest in the middle of the road.

25. Don't run; always walk with a steady speed.

26. Don't disobey the directions of the guide/ PI Staff.

27. Don't carry big trunks or heavy baggage.

28. Don't eat anything from shops en-route.

29. Don't go near ponds, lakes, rivers or any water source. All such water bodies are out of
bounds.

30. Don't come on the trek if you are suffering from BP, UTI, Asthma and any other serious
medical problem.

31. Don’t use any plastic bags having less than 20 microns.

GUIDELINES FOR SAFE JOURNEY

32. Ensure cadets are seated on the reserved seats only.

33. Ensure no unidentified luggage/articles are placed below /on your seat.

34. Do not get down at Railway Stations enroute.

34. If your luggage is left unlocked there is every possibility of theft/ snatching.

35. Do not accept any eatables from co passengers.

36. Take food from authorized caterers in the train only.

37. Do not travel on the corridors.

38. Do not walk on railway tracks to go to adjacent platforms.

39. Do not expose your valuables to others in train.

40. Smoking and drinking is prohibited in trains.

41. Carry adequate reading material in trains.

42. Keep money, ATM cards and tickets in the inner pocket of your trousers.

43. Keep mobiles in a box /suitcase while going to sleep.

44. Do not quarrel/misbehave with co passengers.

45. Report to the TTE/RPF person on duty/Station Master in case of theft during journey.

46. Do not get down from a moving train.

47. Keep the window shutter down before going to sleep.

FORM OF INDEMNITY FOR NCC OFFICERS AND CADETS

In consideration of my being nominated at my request to undertake all types of training

and also participating in any camps/courses/adventure training activities in/outside NCC and
traveling, I undertake and agree neither I nor any executor nor administrator will make any
claim against the Government of India or against any officer. JCO/OR of Armed Forces or
civilian MT drivers or against any loss or injury to the property or person (including injuries
resulting in death) which I may suffer while or in consequence of my being in
training/participating in any camp/course/adventure training activities in or out side NCC and
traveling and I understand that no compensation will be paid by the Government of India or
any officers/JCO/OR of the Armed Forces, Civilian MT drivers or against any such Loss/injury
(including injury resulting in death) and I agree so as to bind myself executors and
administrators to indemnify the Government of India any Officer JCO/OR of Armed Forces
civilian MT drivers or any person in the service of the Government of India against any claim
which may be made by any act of default on my part during or in connection of the said
training/course/camp/adventure training or journey by road/sea/river/flight.

The Government has agreed to bear the stamp duty on the document signed by the

DROWNING/ ACCIDENT CERTIFICATE

I know that there are deep and shallow water bodies near the camp site and along the
route of AP Trek-I wef. 18 – 25 Sep 2022, and that all such water bodies, be it shallow or
deep, static or flowing, is out of bounds. If I enter or move in manner that I fall in such water
bodies, I shall do so at my own risk. I have been explained the orders regarding precautions
to be taken against drowning accident and have understood them. I have been ordered not to
go near or enter any water body and shall abide by these orders in letter and spirit. If I violate
these orders I shall do so at my own risk and peril.
