Autobiography

I. Growth background and individual traits:


I was born in a loving and caring family. Since junior high school, I went to a
private school in a different county and lived away from home. This experience has
made me adaptable, more independent, and capable of easily fitting into different
environments. Throughout my education, I excelled in science and had a great passion
for mathematics and physics. Therefore, I chose the Department of Electrophysics at
National Chiao Tung University. During my master's degree, I was highly interested
in optoelectronics, leading me to enroll in the Department of Electro-Optical
Engineering at National Chiao Tung University. My dissertation focused on
amorphous silicon solar cells, which led me to a path to semiconductor research. I
earned book awards during my undergraduate and master’s programs because of my
hardworking and strong sense of responsibility. In my second year of my master’s
program, I had the opportunity to participate in the 37th IEEE PVSC conference in
Seattle, USA, where I shared research results with researchers from various countries.
It was a rare and precious experience.

II. Work experience and achievements:


After earning my master's degree, I joined TSMC and worked in the R&D
Device Department, specializing in 16nm development. This experience laid a good
foundation for my expertise in FinFET electrical analysis and understanding device
physical characteristics. Three years later, we transitioned from 16nm to 7nm
development. During the 7nm phase, I joined the MPW shuttle team, applied my
device-related expertise, and collaborated with engineers across front-end to back-end
process integration. We successfully demonstrated the 7nm-scale process and met
customer requirements. This achievement was appreciated by my superiors with a
special bonus, which also gave me a great sense of accomplishment.

Afterward, I moved to 3nm development and was invited to join MPG’s (Multi-
Patterning Gate) process integration department by the manager who was in charge of
process integration. In this department, besides device Vt tuning, I gained valuable
process integration skills. I collaborated closely with the module team and leveraged
our expertise to develop and apply cutting-edge processes to products. This effort
earned me an extra bonus from the company as a reward. During the later phase of
3nm development, I contributed my expertise in the N3E department. We continued
the research in 3nm and adopted the experience in 4nm and 5nm as reference. We
combined and integrated all the knowledge of 3nm, 4nm, and 5nm development, then
created a new N3E, which is of high efficiency, higher yield rate, and costs less. This
opened substantial business opportunities for the company. During this time, I
coordinated with the Device, SRAM, and Module teams to determine the best process
conditions for the devices. This led to successfully achieving the N3E goal and
receiving customer recognition that exceeded expectations. I also trained and taught
work skills to new employees concurrently. Additionally, I had an opportunity to lead
a team in a productivity competition by using Python, and our achievement of an
excellence award had a profound impact on enhancing productivity. I found it very
meaningful to be able to help everyone reduce their working hours. These experiences
elevated my work to a higher level, and as a result, I received a special bonus and
earned the promotion from my superiors.

III. Personal interests:


As for my personal interests, I like swimming and have taken part in swimming
competitions, even completing a swim across Sun Moon Lake. I enjoy cuisine and
backpacking. Possessing the courage to embrace risks and challenges is also one of
my characteristics. Furthermore, I have a passion for reading books on physical,
mental, and spiritual well-being to nurture both my body and mind and gain fresh
perspectives. Practicing yoga helps me unwind and rejuvenate, enabling a balanced
harmony of body, mind, and soul.

IV. Future prospects:


As an R&D chief engineer for years, I am grateful for the training and
experience. During this period, I not only honed my technical skills but also learned
how to assist the team and seek resources when faced with challenges in completing
work tasks. Now, I am ready for the next stage of my career path. I have prepared
myself for the future and a new journey.

In between jobs, while looking for my new mission, I have been backpacking
domestically and abroad for relaxation and experiencing different life. I also spent
time in self-improvement, such as enhancing English language skills, mastering the
Python programming language, and engaging in courses focused on physical health
and mental well-being to attain my optimal physical and mental state. I hope that this
period of recharging will make me better prepared for my next job.
I aspire to apply my rich work experience to my future endeavors in the next job.
I am enthusiastic about learning and adapting to a new environment to broaden my
horizons. I also hope to find a balance between work and personal life, and to develop
new technologies that benefit society. If there are job opportunities that align with my
