Preliminary
Introduction
This document will describe the basics of trending using Wellview and USB Memory Reader. To configure the trend
parameters as well as read the trend data from the memory module it is necessary to have Wellview installed.
Before continuing it is assumed that the user has a Windows based computer with Wellview installed and a memory
card reader with USB drivers installed.
1. Start

Run Wellview from the program menu
From the Wellview file menu, select “UniConn Mem Module”. This will bring the Main memory dialog (below)

2. Read a Card
1. Insert memory module into the reader
2. Click the “Connect / Check” button
3. The display will show a list of Trends and Db/Logs
Load a Trend
Graph a Trend
1. Once the trend has been loaded, trend sources will be shown in the “Details” list box
2. Select one or more trend sources (click toggles on and off)
3. Click the “Graph” button and the data will be displayed in a graph window
4. Repeat for as many graphs as required.
Export a Trend
1. Once the trend has been loaded, trend sources will be shown in the “Details” list box
2. Select one or more trend sources (click toggles on and off)
3. Click the “Export” button. A file name dialog box will be presented and the user prompted for a file name
and path. Click OK

4. The file will be exported as a CVS (comma separated value) file. Repeat for as many file as required.
Note: If multiple trend sources are written to one file, each trend source will be written sequentially in the file.
Note: detailed information on the “Trend Editor is provided later in this document.
3. Graph
Below is an example of a UniConn Trend Graph with two plots.

The graph appearance and settings can be adjusted by “Right Clicking” on the graph area. This will let the user
change all of the graph parameters as they see fit.

This menu (and associated dialogs) can also be used to export the graph in a variety of text and graphical packages.
The user can also zoom in on a section of the graph by using “Click and Drag”.

1. Select the source from the “Data Source” drop down box
2. Enter the period between recorded readings (in minutes and seconds)
3. Click the “Add” Button (<<<)
4. Repeat steps 1, 2, & 3 for all Trend sources
5. Check or Uncheck “Wrap Data” box
6. Click OK
Note: If you wish to remove a trend source from the list use the “Remove” button (>>>)
