BRGY. BACLAYAN INTER-PUROK BASKETBALL LEAGUE 2024

I. ELIGIBILITY
1. To be eligible to participate in this league, the player must be a bona fide resident of
Brgy. Baclayan for not less than six (6) months prior to the opening or has a root in our
barangay and SHOULD REPRESENT ONLY THE PUROK WHERE THEY RESIDE unless
otherwise agreed by the committee.
2. The league has two (2) categories: JUNIOR (under 17 years old) and OPEN CATEGORY
which means there is no age limit for players.
3. He must not be a present member of any professional league or must not a varsity
player.
4. Imports from other barangays, municipalities or cities are PROHIBITED.

II. TEAM COMPOSITIONS


1. This league has six (6) official teams for JUNIOR CATEGORY and seven (7) for OPEN
CATEGORY.

2. Participating teams may have as many players as they can.

3. The game is played on round robin basis.

III. UNIFORMS
1. No team player shall be allowed to play without wearing a proper uniform.
2. The wearing of accessories such as necklaces, bracelets, watches, earrings, etc. are
PROHIBITED.
3. PLAYING WITH LONG NAILS IS PROHIBITED.

IV. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


1. COACHES, TEAM MANAGER, and TEAM CAPTAIN of the playing team should know the
rules and regulations of the game and must see to it that they are in total control of
their players.
2. ONLY COACHES, TEAM MANAGER, and TEAM CAPTAIN of the playing team are allowed
to stand and make necessary verification and complaints during the progress of the
game.

V. TEAM DISCIPLINE AND CONDUCT OF PLAYERS


1. A team must be physically present at the playing court fifteen (15) minutes before the
scheduled match and should have a minimum of seven (7) players. In the event that a
team does not show up after the grace period of 15 minutes, the team will lose the
game by forfeiture.
2. Any team who commits two (2) consecutive game defaults will be withdrawn from the
league without prior notice.

3. Any player who commits any of the enumerated acts of violence or unsportsmanlike
conduct shall be penalized with a technical foul or a suspension from the game
depending upon the gravity of the violation or situation.
4. Players who are under the influence of liquor or any prohibited substances are not
allowed to play.
5. Only the team captain on the floor can communicate with the game officials including
table officials regarding technicalities but not judgment call. However, it should be in a
courteous and calm manner.
6. A player shall be disqualified or sent out of the game if:
A. He commits two (2) unsportsmanlike fouls in the game.
B. He commits three (3) technical fouls of the game.
C. He commits both or combination of the two types of fouls.
D. The technical committee has the power to disqualify any player that may cause
detrimental values or actions.
7. A player who has been disqualified or sent out of the game shall be automatically
suspended on his next game. Repeating this offense shall serve as grounds for automatic
disqualification from the league.
8. The referee’s decisions are irrevocable.

VI. TIME OUTS


1. Each team is allowed with 2-minute timeout.
2. There are no timeouts during overtime.
3. A player can call time out in a dead ball situation.

VII. OVERTIME
1. Extra time of two (2) minutes, there shall be an interval of 1 minute before the overtime
starts.
2. The first team to score two (2) points wins the game even if the extra time of two
minutes is not yet over.

VIII. LIST OF REQUIREMENTS


1. Form of OFFICIAL LINE UP
2. Photocopy of any proof of birthday (PSA/NSO/LIVE BIRTH, BRGY. ID, SCHOOL ID, etc.)
3. Parent’s consent/consent form is required for players under 18 years old.

Note:

1. If there are lack of requirements, the player will not be allowed to play.
2. Please pass your requirements to SK OFFICIALS assigned to each purok.
