Lockup function

• Minetruck MT2200 has a transmission with a torque convertor lockup.


• The lockup clutch is hydraulically engaged and released in response to
electronic signals from the PLC.
• Lockup is available in 2nd, 3rd and 4th gear, both in forward and reverse
gear.
• Benefits to this feature is less torque converter slippage is allowed
reducing the heat that is created in the transmission which will decrease
the temperature in the transmission compared to tramming without lockup.

Once engaged, fuel consumption will also decrease. Ground speed will be
higher with lockup than without lockup.

Lockup function

Conditions
The converter will automatically lock up if all of the following
conditions are true:
• If the engine speed exceeds 1500 RPM for more than 2
seconds after the last shift.
• If the B421 converter output speed (RPM) is within +/- 10% of
the engine RPM.
The converter will unlock if the engine RPM drops below 1300
RPM or shift ccontrol activates.
