1. ALARM TROUBLE SHOOTING

UU (Under Voltage) Alarm

DRIVE
LED

LOW VOLTAGE IN DC LINK


MEANING
; The voltage of internal DC link is abnormally low.
1) Check if the main input VOLTAGE is 200V – 220V.

Check voltage between

2) Check if there is a short circuit at the power cable. If need, replace cable.
3) If the alarm is still issued every turn power on after check the above,
replace the servo drive.

OV (Over Voltage) Alarm

OVER VOLTAGE IN DC LINK


MEANING
; The voltage of internal DC link is abnormally high.
1) Check if the main input VOLTAGE is 200V – 220V.

Check voltage between


the terminals

2) Disassemble the drive and then check if the resistor of regenerative


discharge unit is 26Ω at the connecter of the POWER board.
If it’s not 26Ω, replace regenerative discharge unit.

3) Check if there is a short circuit at the power cable. If need, replace cable.
4) If the alarm is still issued every turn power off and on after check the above,

OH (Over Heat) Alarm

MEANING
; The internal IPM temperature is ambient high.
CORRECTIVE After keeping the drive power off for about ten minutes to cool unit.
ACTION if the alarm is still Issued, replace the drive because IPM is faulty.

EI (Encoder Interface) Alarm

ENCODER DATA RECEIVE BOARD ERROR
MEANING
: ENCODER DADA RECEIVE BOARD is malfunction.
CORRECTIVE If the alarm is still issued every turn power off and on, replace the servo drive.

CA (Encoder signal abnormal) Alarm

11bit Encoder A,B,Z signals are abnormal condition.


MEANING
17bit The drive was turned power on before encoder initialization.

1) Check the connecter on the drive for encoder,


try to take out the connecter and then put, again..
2) Check if there is a disconnection on the cable to encoder.
If there are something wrong, replace cable.
3) If the alarm is still issued every turn power off and on, replace
the servo drive.

4) Check if there is a short circuit of the motor encoder connecter.


If there are something wrong, replace the motor.

OS (Over Speed) Alarm

MEANING Motor speed exceeded maximum speed.
1) Check the connecter on the drive for encoder, try to take out the connecter
and then put, again.
2) Check if there is a disconnection or short circuit on the cable to encoder or
power. If there are something wrong, replace cable.

3) Check if there is a short circuit of the motor encoder connecter.

OL (Over Load) Alarm

DRIVE

1) The over load the motor keep constant time as the followings.
Detecting time overload.
MEANING 1sec > 250% / 24sec > 220% / 48sec > 200%
96sec > 180% / 192sec > 160% / 384sec > 150%
768sec > 140% / 1536sec > 130%
1) Check the setting value of following servo drive parameter.
No.4. : 2048 (Encoder pulse / 1 rotation)
If the setting value is not “2048”, change the value
The above parameter setting is valid on the following DRIVE.
- DASD-CT15SPXC-05 ( 11bit type A/S drive )
- DVSD-TT-14A-04( 17bit type drive )
2) Unclamp turret with setting keep relay and then turn around the turret
manually. Check if the turret rotate softly.
- K5.4 : If set to “1”, turret will be unclamped.
If the rotation is tight, check if the mechanical locking at turret rotation.
If there is not locking, try index tool woth change the following parameter
- No.10 : speed gain -> up each 50
CORRECTIVE - No.11 : position gain -> up each 50
ACTION

3) Check connecter and cable for power or encoder.


If there are something wrong, replace the connecter or cable
4) If the alarm is still issued every turn power off and on, replace the servo
drive because the internal device is malfunction.

SE (Double interrupt) Alarm

DRIVE
LED

1) CPU internal calculation is abnormal.


MEANING
2) MCB device of servo drive is abnormal.
1) Initialize turret servo drive parameter and then set, again.
Press “SET” button at the the following LED display.

CORRECTIVE
ACTION
The setting parameter will be initialized.
2) If the alarm is still issued every turn power off and on, replace the servo
drive because the MCB device is malfunction

PE (Parameter Error) Alarm

DRIVE
LED

MEANING Turret servo drive parameter setting is abnormal.


1) Initialize turret servo drive parameter and then set, again.
Press “SET” button at the the following LED display.

CORRECTIVE
ACTION
The setting parameter will be initialized
2) If the alarm is still issued every turn power off and on, replace the servo
drive because the MCB device is malfunction

OC (Over Current) Alarm

DRIVE
LED

MEANING The over current did flow into the motor.


1) Check the following parameter. If there is a wrong setting, correct.
No.29 : Acceleration time constant
CORRECTIVE
No.30 : Deceleration time constant
ACTION
2) Check if there is a disconnection on the power cable.
If there are something wrong, replace the cable.

rP (Residue Pulse) Alarm

DRIVE
LED

The remaining pulse in the position control exceed permissible amount.


MEANING
The permissible amount is set at the parameter No.19.
1) Check if the setting value of the parameter No.19 is normal.
“6000” is generally set at No19.
2) Try to take out the encoder connecter and then put, again..
3) Check if there is a short circuit on the encoder cable.
4) Check of there is a short circuit on the connecter of motor side.

1) Change the battery as the following drawing.

2. BOOTING TROUBLE SHOOTING

ACTUAL The display LED keep “Pro-Ct” or “Pro.150” state after turn on.
STATE The booting process is not completed.
1) 17 BIT TYPE TURRET SERVO DRIVE
Take out all cables and connecter except main power cables at the
drive and then turn on. Check if the booting process is completed.
If the booting process is completed, check connecter and cable.
If the booting process is not completed, replace drive unit.

Take out all cables and connecter except main power cables and
encoder connecter at the drive and then turn on.
Check if the booting process is completed.
If the booting process is completed, check connecter and cable.
If the booting process is not completed, replace drive unit.

① T0000 is commanded.
Check the following keep relay setting.
CORRECTIVE When K10.1 is set “0”, T0000 means the wrong tool No.
ACTION When K10.1 is set”1”, T0000 means offset cancel.
② The tool No. is issued over the maximum tool No.
Check the commanded tool NO.

ALARM NO. 2025 *FEED HOLD ALARM

MEANING ILLEGAL TOOL NO. SETTING


Maximum tool No. should be set at the following keep rela. Check setting.
K0.1 SETTING “1” : GANG TYPE

ALARM NO. 2047 *FEED HOLD ALARM

1) TURRET CLAMP SEMSOR ALARM


Turret clamp sensor keep “OFF” for 2seconds except the following state
① Turret unclamp solenoid is turned on
② Turret is indexing.
MEANING
2) OPERATION ERROR FOR TURRET UNCLAMP STATE
The following are commanded, when turret clamp sensor is “OFF”
① Cycle Start command is issued.
② Cutting commanded is issued like G01, G02, etc.
1) TURRET CLAMP SEMSOR ALARM
① Check if turret is clamped or unclamped normally.
Although turret clamp solenoid is turned on, if that sensor is “OFF”
Check the followings
- Turret clamp / unclamp solenoid malfunction
- Turret clamp / unclamp operation relay or connection at terminal
- Turret clamp comfirm sensor malfunction
- Turret is located at wrong position.
If there is something wrong, adjust parts installation or replat.

CORRECTIVE SENSOR & BAR


ACTION GAP : 0.4mm ~ 0.5mm

2) OPERATION ERROR FOR TURRET UNCLAMP STATE


Issue the following after turret is clamped.
ⓘ Cycle Start command
Cutting commanded like the G01, G02, etc.

Some machine are produced before 2006.01 occur 2047 alarm like the folowing state

- There is a alarm or malfunction in the turret servo drive.

At that time, check LED state of turret servo drive and then refer to the drive manual.
