NWT Barton Broad

This walk is approximately 4km around Barton Broad in the Bure Valley Living Landscape. The route includes a boardwalk overlooking the amazing views of Barton Broad, as well as wildlife spotting opportunities. Starting from the Barton Broad Boardwalk car park, the walk follows footpaths and quiet roads, taking in Herons' Carr boardwalk before returning to the start point.

This walk winds through quiet 6. Continue along the road, passing
roads within the Bure Valley two roads on your left. Shortly after the
second road you will see a footpath on
Living Landscape. Along your right that takes you diagonally across

toilet block on your right) you will see a
footpath on your left. Take this footpath,
signposted boardwalk. Follow the footpath
as it bears left and zigzags around the field
boundary.

2. When you reach the road (Irstead


Road) bear right (signposted boardwalk)
and follow the road.

3. Eventually on your left you will see


the entrance to the boardwalk. If you do
not have a dog, take the opportunity to
visit the viewing platform. Head along
the boardwalk bearing left and follow the
signs to the viewing platform. Once you
