CALCULATION PART II – STRUCTURAL DESIGN CALCULATIONS
Note:
* denotes information need be included in the submission calculation
+ denotes calculation can be ignored except that the element is subjected to heavy loads w/large span or the span/depth ratio is not adequate such that the deflection
need be calculated and shown.
NR denotes not require
NA denotes not applicable
(1)
Due to water pressure
(2)
Axial tension on top and bottom slabs due to water pressure on side walls
(3)
Include torsion moment and moment about minor axis if any
(4)
For rectangular beams without lateral restraint at compression zone
Partition load on slab and beam can be in the form of equivalent UDL or calculated exactly according to the layout shown in GBP
Sections H) to L) are structural design to be carried out by the aid of appropriate spread sheets (currently developed by individuals) Sections M) to P) are structural design to be
carried out by the aid of appropriate computer software (currently by SADS, ADBeam, HKBeam, ADSec etc.)
