To give you a better understanding about the


video. Let’s proceed to our new lesson.

A balance diet is needed by the body to keep


it healthy. The necessary nutrients needed by
the body should be present in the different
foods we eat.

The food pyramid shown below displays the


food and the recommended amounts of
serving.

Food Plate for Filipino Children (7-12)

The food pyramid and food plate are guides to


avoid malnutrition and health problems like
anemia, diabetes, and other related problems like
underweight and overweight.

IV. Application

I am happy to know that you were able to identify different foods to eat and to have a balance
diet.
To check your understanding about the discussion, let us have another activity.
I will group you into two groups. Each group will create a brief song about eating healthy
food and unhealthy food with the tune of ABC songs.
