Introduction

Pertamina through the Refinery Development Master Plan (RDMP) is planning to upgrade the existing
RU-V Balikpapan Refinery by expanding the existing capacity from 260 MBSD to 360 MBSD to
produce high quality fuel products and to meet Indonesian growing fuel demand, named the RDMP
RU-V Balikpapan Project. All crudes processed in Balikpapan refinery are received in the Lawe-Lawe
Terminal. For which, the Lawe-Lawe Terminal will be provided new facilities such as unloading facility
from tanker, crude storage tank, utility units and crude transfer line to RU-V Balikpapan refinery.
Meanwhile, in Balikpapan refinery will be built several new process units such as RFCC complex,
Hydrotreating plants, Isomerization unit, Alkylation unit, Naphtha reforming unit etc.
Facility to Develop in RDMP RU-V Balikpapan Project

The facility to be developed in RDMP RU-V Balikpapan Project will covered works in Refinery Unit-V
at Balikpapan area and Crude terminal at Lawe-Lawe area as describe in diagram below.

Detail works for Crude Terminal Lawe-Lawe Facilities is described in diagram below.
