Expected The Centre has developed the following Programme Outcomes for BA Mass Communication in OL and ODL mode. A
outcome learner completing the programme will be able to:
i. Theoretical & Historical Perspectives: Understand and apply the
concepts and theories in the areas of communication; and demonstrate an understanding of the history & evolution of
media forms and the role of professionals/institutions in shaping communications ii. Effective Communication: Write
correctly and clearly in forms and styles appropriate for the communications professions, audiences and purposes
they serve by converting knowledge and experience from the learning environment and apply them to real world
situations iii. Diversity and Sustainability: Demonstrate an understanding of the diversity of peoples, regions, countries
and cultures, ideas and opinions; and of the significance and impact of communications in addressing local/global
issues related to environment, sustainability and resource management iv. Service & Development Orientation:
Understand the communication needs of developing societies, develop empathy and understanding, and become the
voice of underprivileged, voiceless communities v. Problem Solving, Critical Thinking & Research: Apply their
knowledge and understanding for complex problem solving in the real world; think critically, creatively and
independently and conduct research relevant to the communications professions in which they work vi.
Professionalism & Ethics: Understand and apply the principles and laws of freedom of speech and press;
demonstrate an understanding of professional ethical principles in governance and management, and work
professionally and ethically in pursuit of truth, accuracy and fairness vii. Technology Application: Apply modern tools
and technologies relevant to various media and communications professions for purposes of production, creative

Compliance to specific provisions of UGC (ODL Programmes and Online Programmes) Regulations, 2020

The HEI undertakes to ensure all the provisions of the regulation and few specific provisions adherence to the following:

Learner Support Centre defined under these regulations will not be the Learner Support Centre for more than two Higher Educational Institutions at a time to offer
programmes in Open and Distance Learning mode:-

  Assessment Criteria for Offering Online Programmes through Non-SWAYAM Learning

  Learning Platform in Annexure-IX (For ONLINE Programmes)

  Grievance Redress Mechanism in Annexure-X

   Further undertakes to ensure that the HEI shall display on its website a joint declaration by authorized signatories, Registrar and Director of Centre for Internal Quality
Assurance, authenticating the documents uploaded on its    website, in compliance of regulation 9 of UGC (Open and Distance Learning Programmes and Online
Programmes) Regulations, 2020.

   The HEI hereby declare that the information given above and in the enclosed documents is true, correct and nothing material has been concealed therein. The Higher
Educational Institution shall be solely responsible for any legal issues arising out of non-compliance of UGC (Open and Distance Learning Programmes and Online
Programmes) Regulations, 2020.

   The HEI understand that in case information provided is found to be contrary to the fact, it would entail not only withdrawal of permission/recognition for such ODL
courses but also for other courses offered by the institutions, on regular and conventional mode
