This Project, dubbed as “KaBrigada” is call for Brigada pagbasa
Volunteers for improving the literacy of the learners ready for the
opening of classes for SY 2021-2022.
Activities & Timeline
Call for Volunteer - May 28-June 15, 2021
Launching and Orientation - June 16, 2021
Start of Implementation - June 17- September 2, 2021
Project Monitoring - July 15, 2021
Project Evaluation - September 15, 2021
Project Objectives:
1. Improve the literacy level of the learners, basic and functional
literacy levels.
2. Increase the number of community volunteers who will join the
Brigada Pagbasa Movement.
3. Increase awareness and understanding on the importance of
literacy as foundation to learning
Who may Volunteer?
a.Volunteer Reader- He/she may read a book to
his/her recipient child/ children within the
community – barangay.
Who may Volunteer?
b. Volunteer Tutor- he/she may become a volunteer tutor
by selecting child/children within the zone or barangay
by devoting one hour every day to teaching them how
to read.
Who may Volunteer?
c. Volunteer Book Donor – be a donor of book/s,
organization, private individual or partners who may
not have time to read a book or tutor, but willing to
share by donating reading materials and resources
to schools for the use during Brigada Pagbasa.

IMPORTANT REMINDERS
KaBrigada Volunteer Readers and Tutors must be residing within the community
where their recipient learners and tutees are. This to avoid the possibility
spreading the Covid 19.
IMPORTANT REMINDERS
KaBrigada Pagbasa Volunteer Book Donor and supporter
may come from the National Government Agencies
(NGAs), Local Government Units(LGU), Private
Companies, and other individuals.

Sta. Lucia Elementary School collaborates in the
community to combat illiteracy through “Padjak
Aralan- a mobile library where-in learners can pull a
book and chair and seat comfortable in a shade
and Zone of Books Campaign” to increase and
cater the needs of learners in respective zones.

We need more volunteers, parents and
readers sourcing out of different books
and reading materials is one of our
struggles. For us to structure more zone we
will be needing story, math or science
books and the like.
With our flagship program we can
achieve our aspirations, we whole
heartedly asking for your book donation in
