Education involves not only reading and doing exercise but also acquire knowledge
through doing something practically. A report requires a lot of information from various
corners and thus not only contributions from group members are sufficient for creating
and informative report, information is also needed from people who have experience in
that particular field.
I feel very lucky to get a great opportunity to carry on my internship program with such a
remarkable Bank like Jamuna Bank Ltd. I herewith thankfully remember the name
Mahabubul Haq Choudhury (EVP) who has helped me achieving my internship in this
bank. I would also like to thank A. M. Arifur Rahman Khan (FAVP) clearing in-charge
who permits me work as an intern at kanchpur branch.

First of all, I am indebted to my supervisor firoza begum for the help she has given in
order to give my report a proper structure. After that, my extreme gratitude and thanks for
Tanbir ahmed rone (FEO) 2nd in-charge of clearing house at Dilkusha Branch, who was
the supervisor of my internship program. Then I would like to thank to Mr. mizanur
rahman (SEO), also thanked to Mr. Enamul Hassan (FEO), Clearing Department of
JBL( Dilkusha Branch). With whom I spend most of my time during the internship. After
that I would also like to thanks Mr. Tanvir Hossain (PO) & Mr. Didarul Haque (PO)
for his guidance and inspiration to make this work successful.

Then I would also like to thank to Mr. Akram Hossain (PO), Mr. Arifur rahamrn
(PO), Mr. Asheqe (officer) and Mr. Shahin (PO) of clearing house department, for their
kind cooperation and support during my internship program. I remember and thank with
great-fullness, my family members and all of friends named Lovlue, satu, Pasha, Alamin,

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY.

The Jamuna Bank is a financial institution whose status, rules and procedures expressly
state commitment to the principle of Modern banking and to the banning of the receipt
and payment of interest on any of its operations. Jamuna Bank Ltd was established in
1991 under the companies Act, 1994 as a banking Company with limited Liability by
shares.

Under the new automated system, banks will not need to send their cheques physically to
the clearing house at the central bank for effecting fund transfer. Now the banks can do
the job online from their own offices using machine readable cheques and the funds will
be transferred electronically.

The ACH system can process large volumes of individual payments electronically, and it
has become the largest payments system in the country.

Clearing house in one of the most important banking department in Jamuna bank. The
employers have to do various performances in their daily routine. This department
handles various types of activities in two separate house which are
1) Inward Clearing House.
a) High Value clearing.
b) Regular Value clearing.
2) Outward Clearing House.
a) High value clearing.
b) Regular Value clearing
