Activity: ‘Pancakes, Pancakes’ by Eric Carle


Directions Materials Needed
Getting Ready  Read the book Pancakes, Pancakes by Eric  Book, ‘Pancakes,
Setting the stage for Carle Pancakes’ by Eric Carle

Activity PS-School Agers  Copy of recipe
Directions should be  Write out the recipe for the pancakes  Paper

School-agers will enjoy making their own serving of pancakes! Reading the
recipe, measuring the ingredients, and completing the cooking are real-life, self-
help skills. School-agers that follow individual recipes learn how to be accurate in
their measuring and following of directions – very important for school and life
success.
