NS Internship Guidelines 4
We at Neeti Shastra are dedicated to bringing the best internship opportunities for law students.
Applying for an internship through Neeti Shastra grants us access to certain personal
information like phone number, Curriculum Vitae, etc. We ensure complete confidentiality and
the details will be shared only to the firms one applies for. By applying for internships with our
official Associations, you give consent to be governed by our Guidelines, as well as declare that
the guidelines have been carefully read and agreed to.
1. PURPOSE
The purpose of Neeti Shastra is to connect leading law firms, organisations and advocates with
law students all over India. Neeti Shastra does not provide internships with itself, but only
connects the aspiring law students with different law firms, organisations, advocates, companies
etc. who are in exclusive association with Neeti Shastra for a specific time period and who have
such requirements. However, Neeti Shastra does not guarantee an internship which shall depend
on the respective selection basis of such law firms, organizations, advocates, companies etc.
2. DEFINITIONS
For the purpose of this website and the guidelines thereof, “Neeti Shastra” is a platform for
students to gain exposure in the legal fraternity through various internship opportunities provided
by Neeti Shastra in association with certain parties.
“Students”, “Candidates” and “Interns” refer to all those who are applying for internships
through Neeti Shastra by filling the form.
3. ELIGIBILITY
All students pursuing or have completed legal education in LL.B. Courses (including both 5 year
and 3 year courses) through a validly recognized University, College or institution can enroll for
the services of Neeti Shastra. However, the application criteria for the internship will be
distinctive to the respective law firms, organizations, advocates and companies, as provided by
them. advocates. We advise you to carefully go through the criteria mentioned with each posting
before applying.
Students are not permitted to apply for any internship via Neeti Shastra if they are already
pursuing one internship (whether online or offline, excluding Editorial positions) in that
particular time period. In the event of a Student pursuing two or more than two internships and
still applying for an internship for the same time period without disclosing the same in the
Google Form for Internship, they shall be blacklisted for a period of twelve months and all
existing applications will be automatically rejected.
4. PROCEDURE TO APPLY
4.1 Internship opportunities along with the deadlines to apply and eligibility criterias are updated
on the “Our Association” tab on our website and are also shared through posts on various social
media platforms.
5. SELECTION
All the applications for internship shall first be scrutinized by Neeti Shastra as per the
requirements laid down and communicated to us by such law firms, organizations, advocates and
companies. Upon being shortlisted through the preliminary screening performed by Neeti
Shastra, the details of candidates will be forwarded to the respective recruiter. Thereafter, any
revert on the applications submitted to the recruiter shall be at the recruiter’s discretion and Neeti
Shastra shall only intimate the said information as and when conveyed from the recruiter. The
candidates are finalized based on the discretion of the recruiter. We do not take responsibility for
the internship, but only for the recruiting process.
6. TERMINATION
The following grounds stand for blacklisting of students and/or rejection of applications:
6.1 Neeti Shastra aims to provide internships to diligent, deserving and committed students. It is
therefore of utmost importance that the candidate conducts its own research and has a thorough
understanding of the requirements of the internship before applying. In the event of a shortlisted
student backing out on any grounds and without prior approval of Neeti Shastra (which shall all
be at the discretion of Neeti Shastra), such student shall be strictly blacklisted for a period of 12
months from applying to any internship through Neeti Shastra. Such act of backing out at the
last stage, not only takes away the chance from a willing or committed student but also tarnishes
our reputation and therefore such misdemeanour shall not be taken lightly.
6.4 If it comes to our knowledge that any shortlisted student or applicant has misbehaved with
the recruiter or has conducted themselves in an inappropriate manner in front of the recruiter
during the selection process, our team will look into the matter and that student will be
black-listed permanently for internship opportunities through Neeti Shastra.
6.5 In the event of a candidate being shortlisted for more than two internships in the same month
by a recruiter, any previous or future applications for internships in the same month will be
automatically rejected.
7.1 Stipend is the discretion of the recruiter and no amount is guaranteed by Neeti Shastra. Neeti
Shastra shall not be liable to pay any amount whatsoever to any student in lieu of their internship
or in case of non-payment of agreed stipend by the recruiter.
7.2 The students shall follow the rules and regulations and shall comply with the policies of the
recruitersthey have applied with or are selected for internship through Neeti Shastra. Every
student shall conduct a proper enquiry on the profile of recruiter or may enquire more about the
same from Neeti Shastra before applying. Neeti Shastra shall not be responsible for any dispute
or matter with the recruiter, however, all endeavor will be made to resolve it.
7.5 No student/applicant shall directly contact the recruiter i.e. the law firms, organizations,
advocates and companies for which they have applied or propose to apply before the acceptance
of their application by such recruiter.
8. DISCLAIMER:
We, at Neeti Shastra, only connect a student with the hiring firm/advocate/legal organisation.
Any act, omission, negligence or failure to live upto the expected standards during the period of
the internship is the sole responsibility of the particular intern and we do not take responsibility
for ny such conduct of the student. same. Similarly, it is the student’s sole responsibility to
satisfy herself/himself before applying for any internship opportunity listed by Neeti Shastra.
Neeti Shastra is merely a medium between the student aspiring for an internship and recruiters
offering internship opportunities. Neeti Shastra shall not be responsible for any matter of dispute
between the student and recruiter.
