Slab Formwork Calculation

This document provides details on the design of a plywood and timber formwork system for an elevated concrete slab with a critical span of 3.75m. It includes calculations of design loads, concrete pressures, plywood and joist properties to determine maximum joist spacing. The maximum concrete pressure is determined to be 3.75 kN/m2 based on slab dimensions and pour rate. Plywood properties and a joist spacing of 0.5m are then selected and bending stresses on the joist are checked based on the selected spacing.
