General Properties Rheological Properties: PVC Paste Resin (Homopolymer)

KL-701 is a very low molecular weight and low viscosity PVC homopolymer resin. It produces plastisols with low viscosity at low shear rates and slight dilatancy at high shear rates at a plasticizer level between 50-70 phr. Plastisols made from KL-701 exhibit good gelation rate, thermal and light stability, foaming properties, and low viscosity aging rate. Applications include foamed wall coverings, foamed floorings, and chemically blown foams produced at low-medium oven temperatures. Guide formulations are provided for wall coverings and foamed flooring applications.
