Retirement Speech for Pn.

Aziah
A very good morning to our respected principle Datin Rogayah ______________,
senior assistants, teachers, fellow students and of course, our dearest teacher Pn. Aziah. It’s an
honour to be standing here today, on behalf of the students of SMK Raja Perempuan. We are
all here to bid farewell to our exceptional teacher and mentor who is retiring from active service.
As we say goodbye, we remind ourselves that farewells are not forever, nor are they the end.
They are simply words to say that we will miss you dearly and remember you fondly. It gives
me great pleasure to say that we must recognize, respect and appreciate all the valuable skills
and knowledge our dear teacher had imparted onto us the future leaders and to thank her for all
her efforts and hard work.
I’ve known Pn. Aziah for almost five months now, and I can say without a doubt that
she is one of the most knowledgeable, generous and lovable teacher and mentor I’ve ever met.
She has definitely made a positive difference in all our lives. I never forgot this one thing she
wrote for our class PRA U1AV, it was a quote. It said ‘Maths may not teach me how to add
love or subtract hate but it gives me reason to believe that every problem has a solution’. Pn.
Aziah is an outstanding teacher and is truly committed to promoting excellence in the education
sector committed to promoting excellence in the education sector. You are always tolerant and
eager to help us when we have things bothering our minds especially with Maths. Indeed, your
exceptional qualities have inspired us in so many ways. This, we will all remember you for,
and the sweet memories that we had together will remain in our hearts forever. Thank you for
teaching us with passion. Your teaching skills make it easier and fun for every student to
understand better in class. I also would like to ask for your forgiveness if we have ever hurt
your feelings knowingly or unknowingly.
Pn. Aziah, you have put in great efforts in instilling tolerance, kindness, patience onto
us the future generations. As you join the seniors of this great country, I wish you happy
adventures, fantastic new friendships, amazing experiences and the journey of a lifetime. I also
pray that the knowledge and skills we have gained from you are used well in building a greater
nation and a healthy place for all to live.
May the road rise to meet you,
may the wind be at your back,
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
May the rain fall softly on your fields,
and until we meet again,
May you keep safe
in the gentle loving arms of God.

On behalf of the school, Pn. Aziah, I wish you much joy and happiness as you begin a
new chapter in your life. Thank you.
