Every organizations is of its own style and type the factors which links every organization is the employees.
Employees are the key factor for the growth and development of an organization. Employees who takes up
the work and does it with full sincerity to achieve the organization goals.
When an individual seeks to achieve his objectives he joins an organization, when he becomes an employee
his aim shifts to achieve his organization’s objectives irrespective of his own objectives. When he achieves
his organization’s objective he gets his salary or incentives which helps him to achieve his objectives.
An organization can’t survive without employees, employees are the lifeline of an organization. Employees
help in growth, profit making, stability etc.
As employees are an important factor for an organization it is necessary to check upon the development of
them.
Employee training is one of the important step that helps employees to develop and grow it is the duty of an
organization to train its employees. One of the main problem that organizations faces nowadays is
employees leaving their jobs after these trainings.
An employee leaves an organization due to many reasons some are – low salary, no assurance of job
security, poor infrastructure of an organization, over burden of works, improper working hours etc. these
reasons which makes employees to resign their jobs in the organization but it is not an healthy sign for the
organization.
If an individual becomes a well-trained employee after joining an organization it is important for the
organization to hold that employee for a long period of time. If that employee leaves that job after getting
trained from that organization it is a huge loss for the organization. For an organization it takes time, money
etc to make an individual an perfect trained employee and if he leave that organization, then it has to find
another person to fill that vacant place and have to restart the training programme. A new employee needs
takes lot of time for training and which is a loss for the company if trained staffs leave the organization.
So it becomes the responsibility of the organization to start Employee Retention practices. The term
retention means - the continued possession, use, or control of something.
Employee retention basically means to stick its employees within the organization. Satisfying its employees
and making them comfortable with their jobs makes the employees to stay, employees objectives must be
satisfied with their incentives, they must be motivated and must be kept in comfortable position so that they
will stay in the organization for a long time.
A well trained employees with more work experience
Provides innovative ideas for the organization,
Helps in reducing the cost of production,
Helps in profit making,
Helps in company development.
So it becomes an important aspect for the HR of an organization to implement Employee Retention Practice.
