Topic Respect to school community

Content Standard 5.1

Core Value Respect
Learning State 2 ways how pupils can respect school community.
Objectives Appreciate friendship and team spirit among the school
community.
 Practise 2 ways of speaking and action in respect to school
community
6. Activities Pre lesson
Teacher shows a short video on birthday celebration.
Teacher asks the pupils a few questions based on the video.
· How you seen this before? Where?
· Do you celebrate your birthday? Explain.

Activity 1:
1. Pupils are divided into small groups.
2. The teacher asks each group to discuss about the ways to show
respect for our school community.
3. Each groups will share their views about what can be done.
4. Teacher gives feedback on responses.

Activity 2:
1. Teacher shows some slides to pupils.
2. Pupils will raise green light for pictures that show respect for the
school community.
3. Teacher gives feedback on the activities.
4. Task (Example of pictures)
- Pupils greet their teacher. (Green light)
- Pupils help teachers to carry the books. (Green light)
- Pupils call his friend’s nickname. (Red light)

Activity 3:

1. Pupils sing a birthday song to their classmates who celebrate


their birthday in the same month.
