India has a total area of 3.287 million square kilometers, making it the 7th largest country. It lies entirely in the Northern Hemisphere between latitudes 8°4'N to 37°6'N and longitudes 68°7'E to 97°25'E. India shares land borders with Pakistan, Afghanistan, China, Nepal, Bhutan, Bangladesh and Myanmar. Its coastline extends for 7516.6 kilometers along the Indian Ocean.
