Qualification:
First Class Post Graduates with Ph. D. in relevant discipline and
having consistently very good academic record.
Experience:
6 (six) years post Ph. D. or 9 (nine) years (not counting Ph. D.
enrolment period) out of which 3 (three) years post Ph. D. and 3
(three) years at the level of Assistant Professor with AGP of Rs.
8000/- or equivalent in a reputed university, R & D Lab or
relevant industry.
Essential Requirements:
4 (four) SCI journals after Ph. D.
1 (one) Ph. D. guided as sole or principal supervisor plus 1 (one)
continuing.
2 (two) projects ongoing or one ongoing plus one completed.
2 (two) experiments or computational projects added to
teaching laboratories where appropriate.
Academic outreached activity equivalent to 2 (two) self financed
short term courses
Desirable Requirements:
One or more patents.
Supervised more than two students for Ph. D.
Strong liaison with industry.
Offering courses through application of ICT.

Qualification:

Experience:
3 (three) years post Ph. D. or 6 (six) years after M. Tech. Not
counting Ph. D. enrolment period in teaching / research /
industry [for AGP Rs. 8000/-].
1 (one) year post Ph. D [for AGP Rs. 7000/-].

2 (two) papers in SCI journals outside Ph. D. work; One ongoing
sponsored project for candidates from academia; Two
experimental or computational projects added to teaching
laboratories where appropriate [for AGP Rs. 8000/-].
1 (one) paper accepted for publication in SCI journal [for AGP
Rs. 7000/-].
Desirable Requirements:
1 (one) Ph. D. supervision ongoing; 1 (one) Patent; Experience in
industry or R & D lab. of repute; M. Tech., M.Sc. or B. Tech.
project supervision on live industrial problems [for AGP Rs.
8000/-].
2 (two) papers in SCI journal or 1 (one) patent may be based
on Ph. D. work [for AGP Rs. 7000/-].
1 (one) publication in SCI journal [for AGP Rs. 6000/-].
Note: - Reservation for SC, ST, OBC and PWD are applicable as per GOI norms for the post of Assistant Professor only.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE
1. Application fees of Rs. 500/- for General/OBC candidates & Rs. 250/- for SC/ST/PWD
candidates be paid in the Account of Director, NIT Silchar in State Bank of India A/C No.
10521277057, IFSC Code SBIN0007061.
2. Application should be submitted online.
3. The hard copy of the submitted online application along with the relevant documents &
Transaction slip for the fees to be submitted at the time of interview, if called for.
4. Persons employed in Government and Semi-Government organizations should submit
the NOC at the time of interview.
5. Online application received up to 31.01.2015 will be considered in the first phase of
interview for various levels and departments depending up on the need of the Institute.
Applications received for other departments and levels as well as after this date will be
considered in subsequent round of interview
