When protocol B is used, SYN and NAK code output control is not exercised/exercised. With the remote buffer interface, the CD (signal quality detection) state is monitored/ not monitored. An internal/external clock is used for the remote buffer baud rate clock. ISO/ASCII code is used for communication of all data except NC data. The end code is CR/ETX. Communication protocol B/A is used. The remote buffer interface is RS-232-C/RS-422. .

When protocol A is used with the remote buffer interface, remote buffer state data in an SAT message is always sent back with no specification (=0)/a switching request in a SET message from the host is sent back unconditionally. In output using IS0 code, the EOB code consists of an LF, CR, and CR/LF. When a null character is included in EIA code being read, an alarm is not issued/is issued. When reader/punch interface 2 is used, rewind is not performed/is performed. When the RS-232-C interface is used, the DC code is used/not used. For feed operation in a significant information section, space/null characters are used. (l/0=2) (l/0=3) (l/0=0) (I/0=1) Baud rate
