Two Span Continuous Beam

This document summarizes two methods for analyzing statically indeterminate structures: the flexibility method and the stiffness method. The flexibility method involves removing one reaction to make the structure determinate, then calculating deflections and setting them equal. The stiffness method involves fixing one joint to prevent rotation, then calculating member-end moments and setting their sum equal to zero. Both methods are demonstrated on a two-span continuous beam with one redundant reaction.
