Sensational entertainment. This $100 million extravaganza is — let’s face it — rampantly over the top. Hell, it’s by Martin Scorsese, who is always over the top.

One of the funniest yet most depressing movies in Martin Scorsese’s long career — a celebration and evisceration of male savagery, financial division. It’s like “GoodFellas,” only (slightly) more legal, which is very much the point.
This movie may tire you out with its hammering, swaggering excess, but it is never less than wide-awake.
For all of its carnal frivolity, The Wolf of Wall Street lacks passion and purpose, qualities Scorsese at his best has in abundance.
The film is almost three hours long and precious little of it feels new – not from Scorsese or from anybody else.
Here’s something I never expected to say, something I doubt I’d have believed if someone else had said it to me: Martin Scorsese can make a three-hour movie without one fresh perspective or compelling character from end to end. The proof, for three agonizing hours, can be found in The Wolf of Wall Street.
Oh. My. Goodness. Where do I even begin with this. First of all I must say, Leonardo DiCaprio did such a good job acting in this movie it still 11 years later baffles me. The humor is unmatched whilst still containing an element of realism and sadism. As a billionaire playboy myself I see myself in Jordan Belfords reckless nature.
10/10 this is a CLASSIC!

Decent story although it really becomes something extremely cringe. Better movies out there frankly overrated.

This biopic movie is better than "The Aviator" i think, but again there is something that didn't convince me that much. The editing is great, acting too but this movie feels kind of ordinary. It straightly goes from point A to point Z through some funny moments but it's not a movie that will stay with you for a long time.

The qualudes scene is very funny, but overall the actors try way too hard to be funny, and the movie lionises an awful person.

Scorsese has never recaptured his great years of Taxi Driver and Raging Bull. Any film that lionises a low life like Jordan Belfort does not deserve a good review. Jordan Belfort is, was and always will be pond scum and a bottom feeder. This movie celebrates his disgusting deeds in a sycophantic Hollywood romanticism that so many American films suffer from. I give it a few points for good camera work and acting. As usual the script has a lot of room for improvement.
