To rekindle your passion for your work, consider your main motivators, set new goals for your career, and pursue lifelong learning. To regain inspiration, consider joining industry groups, looking at side projects, and considering a mentor. If necessary, review your career path to ensure that it still aligns with your interests and values.

I believe in writing when I'm feeling stuck. Writing without an intent to publish anything. Just writing for myself. This simple action uncovers blocking issues or fears thay I was facing at the moment in my life. For some reason I wasn't able to see it beacuse i was trying hard to focus on other things. After writing it down, I become aware of what is bringing me down and I have the opportunity to fix it. This works with video or audio, or drawing as well, as long as you hear, see it after recording it.

When I feel disconnected from my passion, I donât push harder, I pause with intention. I revisit the âwhyâ behind my work, not the metrics or milestones. Sometimes that looks like journaling, reconnecting with a mentor, or pouring into others through coaching conversations. I also revisit moments where I felt most aligned, and those remind me of the impact beyond my title. Refueling passion isnât about doing more, itâs about realigning to and with purpose. Thatâs where the fire is.

I discovered that whenever I have that âstuckâ feeling itâs because my focus has turned to the outside voices. Those that constantly talk about how hard teaching is - how unappreciated teachers are - how bad the pay is - or how disrespectful the students have become. Or maybe to the voices that focus on getting the paperwork completed, reading about new policies, keeping up with the latest trends. All of these outside voices distract from what I love - education and teaching. All of these voices create frustration and helplessness. At these times, I have learned to trust my gut and remember that I am not helpless. I can choose to follow my passion or listen to the negative voices. I hold the power - not them.
