    DDG Claims Halle Bailey Is A "Risk" To Their Young Son, After Sharing Alleged Texts From Her Threatening Self-Harm

    Things are escalating between DDG and Halle.

    Halle Bailey and DDG (real name Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr.) are currently in the middle of a custody battle, and it looks like they might be headed back to court.

    The 25-year-old singer and actor shares a 17-month-old son named Halo with the 27-year-old popular streamer and rapper. Halo was born in December 2023. In October 2024, DDG announced that he and Halle had split.

    Four months after giving birth, Halle revealed she was dealing with "severe" postpartum depression — "I have severe, severe postpartum [depression], and I don't know if any new moms can relate, but it's to the point where it's really bad, and it's hard for me to be separated from my baby for more than 30 minutes at a time before I start to kind of freak out."

    Since the breakup, the two have been embroiled in a messy fallout that doesn't appear to be getting any closer to reconciliation. Their disputes include cheating accusations, allegations of abuse, and even claims that Halle was keeping Halo from his father. Last month, Halle was granted a restraining order against DDG, alleging, “Throughout our relationship, Darryl has been and continues to be physically, verbally, emotionally, and financially abusive towards me. I am seeking orders to protect myself and our son, Halo, from his ongoing abuse.”

    She detailed an alleged incident that occurred while they were trying to get Halo into his car seat — "We fought each other, wrestling and tussling. At one point, Darryl was pulling my hair. He then slammed my face on the steering wheel, causing my tooth to get chipped. I then stopped fighting back as I was in a lot of pain," she said, with reported photos of her chipped tooth and bruises included in the filing.

    DDG is required to remain 100 yards from Halle at all times until their next scheduled court hearing, which took place on June 4. She also requested that her ex-boyfriend be given supervised visits with a professional company once a week for six hours while Halo is in Los Angeles, and that he not be allowed to leave the county with Halo.

    Most recently, according to official court documents obtained by People, on Wednesday, DDG filed a motion to request an emergency court hearing, and asked if Halle could be restricted from leaving the country with their son, specifically traveling to Italy for her upcoming vacation.

    The documents also showed DDG requested a domestic violence restraining order against The Little Mermaid star, alleging that Halle poses an "imminent emotional and psychological risk to the minor child based on repeated, documented threats of self-harm." He stated that if Halle traveled internationally with Halo, the toddler wouldn't have proper protection from the court or any "emergency intervention mechanisms."

    DDG included alleged text conversations with Halle to support his claims. Through the messages, DDG said Halle shared "repeated threats of suicide and self-harm," while also putting their son in danger during her emotional distress. Part of the emotional distress in the alleged texts also shows Halle begging for help with Halo and DDG seemingly not acknowledging her pleas.

    He claimed that during one altercation between them, Halle took his gun and left the house with it. When he found her outside the house holding the gun, she was allegedly "emotionally unwell, incoherent and potentially suicidal."

    According to a new report per the Independent, DDG's request for a domestic violence restraining order against Halle has been denied.
