Scholarships

The following scholarships provide additional financial assistance to eligible students.

The Hiwa Foundation Endowment Fund supports the education of selected students at American University of Iraq, Sulaimani (AUIS) who demonstrate high academic merit and financial need.
The Scholarship funds 75 percent of an AUIS Youth Engagement Scholar’s tuition during their study at the University.
The Scholarship covers full tuition for the top 2% highest scoring undergraduate applicants. 
The Fund provides scholarships to Syrian refugees to pursue a university degree at AUIS after graduation from high school.
The Euphrates Fund Scholarship (EFS) is a generous grant that will cover the tuition of one AUIS student each year.
The Numerus Group Scholarship provides much needed merit-based financial support to new and existing AUIS students.  
Applicants can win a fully-funded five year scholarship by the US Embassy in Baghdad.
Three awards of $2,000 are offered to rising 3rd and 4th year female undergraduates majoring in IT or Engineering.
The $1,000 scholarship provides support for tuition fees, housing and course-related expenses to current AUIS students.
IMMDF provides scholarship for business students in their final year of study at AUIS. 
A grant to support the education of Syrian students displaced by conflict. 
The Foundation has provided full scholarship to selected students for the entire course of their studies at AUIS. 
The scholarship covers expenses for students for a period of five years from 2013 - 18.
