Due to a record increase in the number, quality and breadth of submissions to the Conference Advisory Board, the organizers of 8th Cloud Expo (June 6-9, 2011) - Cloud Expo New York 2011 - have extended the technical program through the addition of an all-new "Telcos in the Cloud" track - to complement the already extensive selection of tracks, including "Enterprise-Level Cloud Computing," "Federal/Government Cloud Computing," "Real-World Virtualization,"Cloud Security & Performance," "The Cloud in Practice: Case Studies," and the always-popular "Hot Topics" track.
Because the sheer quantity and quality of submitted sessions has outstripped the ability to assess each one fully and fairly - there have been a staggering 1,300 submissions thus far, for just 150 or so slots - the deadline for submitting speaking proposals to the conference is also being extended too, until January 31, 2011.
As always this extensive technical program will again be complemented by a significant supplementary program of Special Events, including Cloud Computing Bootcamp, CloudCamp @ CloudExpo, and the RightScale User Conference 2011.
Help plant your flag in the fast-expanding business opportunity that is The Cloud: submit your speaking proposal today!
Cloud Expo does not encourage or accept presentations promoting a particular product - but for breakout sessions, good case studies with transferable lessons are always welcome.
Topics already submitted include:
SPECIAL FOCUS: Telcos in the Cloud
- Submissions still welcome on all related topics including:
Ideal candidates are infrastructure experts who have first-hand experience in the development or implementation of cloud services. Cloud Expo strongly discourages submissions from marketing personnel with limited or no ability to speak real-time to advanced technical questions in open Q&A such as is certain from any Cloud Expo audience.
If you have something substantive, challenging, and original to offer, you are encouraged to submit a proposal. In the proposal, please highlight previous speaking engagements. Please provide at least three references with respect to speaking ability, as well as contact information that will allow us to reach you to evaluate presentation skills. Past speakers do not need to provide references.
Benefits of Being a Member of the Cloud Expo Faculty
Speakers will receive unprecedented visibility in pre-conference promotion in print and online. They will also receive exposure via the accompanying Cloud Computing Expo 2011 East conference portal for many months prior to and following the conference.
