• One web developer believes that Samsung’s loss might be a $1B advertising campaign - According to this post on Phandroid, one developer believes that how the jury so closely linked Apple and Samsung products will be an endorsement in the eyes of the consumer. Because the jury thought the products were so similar, other consumers might – and just look at Samsung as the bargain version. More here.
  
• The Apple Mini iPad event might be in October - it appears that Apple might be planning two events this fall, one for the iPhone 5, and another for the iPad Mini. • Google responds to the lawsuit - Google’s response to the Apple/Samsung verdict was that most rulings did not apply to “core Android” capabilities. However, the ruling regarding pinch-to-zoom and more could be dangerous. Via The Verge, more here.
• Student and Developer, Nadim Kobeissi, has found a new privacy complaint for Windows 8 - however, this article over at Ars Technica believes that he has missed the point entirely. More here.
