Google: Forming the Future

How Google influences the future of tech

It is well-know that Google is a powerful company that deals not only with search. Today the company is a world leader in the development of gadgets, internet services and other development. Also Google has a secret Google X team which works on development of the most non-standart projects, and among which there are airships that distribute wireless Internet and the development of next-generation drugs, but this is just the thing we are aware of. So, let summarize the ideas that the Internet giant wants to bring to life .

Google Glass
Probably, only a very lazy person hasn't spoken about this project of Google. The idea is the following: you may forget about smartphones and computers only thanks to putting these glasses as all the necessary info will be available on the glass screen. Google Glass makes a revolutionary augmented reality technology available to a wide audience.

SmartWatch
Recently, it has been reported that Google is ready to release a direct competitor to iWatch from Apple - a watch-smartphone hybrid. Surely, SmartWatch from Google will work on its Android operating system.

Game console based on Android
The popularity of Android as a platform for tech solutions development  is growing all over the world, and Google is seeking new possibilities how to use its potential to the maximum.

Now Google is on development of the gaming console, which is designed to be a "killer" of Apple TV: game console from Google will allow you to run any Android-based games directly on your home TV.

Driverless Car Program
Experts of Google X have been working on the Driverless Car Program project for several years.

Today the company is in talks with the US authorities to get a permission to test the self-driving cars on public roads, but only up to now California and Nevada have signed this agreement.

So, the tests are on, but it is still unclear when such cars will enter the real car market.

[email protected]
The technology, called [email protected], will fully automate all life support systems and gadgets by connecting them in one net using the Internet, but Google still does not cover all possible future developments.

Google Health
The Internet giant has a share in the Adimab company, the company engaged in the development of diagnostics and treatment system, which would unite a variety of technologies and methods to diseases treatment.  The revolutionary idea is the invention of mini sensors which look for and  optimize the work of antibodies, so people will only need to swallow such a sensor  to start treatment.

Another Google development in the field of health is done by a subsidiary company - iPierian, creating the technology of "cellular reprogramming", which will fight diseases by modifying body cells.

Space Elevator
In 2011 Google X team included the idea of a "space elevator" into the so-called " What if ..." list. It should be noted that the very concept of this method was suggested by K. Tsiolkovsky in 1895.

However, do not wait for Google's quick realization of this idea - the development of "space elevator" faces many technical challenges.

Airships with Wireless Internet
Google's ambitions as the Internet provider reached all-time highs:  the company is developing airships that will provide wireless Internet connection to the entire planet, including Africa region. If the project is realized, the "world wide web" will cover another 1 billion people.

Eco-friendly sources of energy
The Makani Power company is a developer of advanced technologies of wind and solar energy use: Google previously invested a lot of money in this company, and it has recently acquired in entirely and included started several projects.

The best-known development of Makani Power is wind turbines, working at an altitude of almost 300 m to 650 m and allowing to generate electricity out of air.
