In Spider-Man: Homecoming, Peter Parker is played by Tom Holland. But it’s not Tom Holland behind the mask in many of the most dangerous scenes of the biggest movie at the box-office this weekend. It’s actor and stuntman Chris Silcox, who just happens to be a graduate of the University of Illinois. As a Native American alum, I am disgusted with the way this school treats its student body and Native History. At every turn the University seems to ban tradit...ion and settle for group-thought and mediocrity without debate. There is no intelligent discussion here, only emotionally-driven propaganda where opinions are taught as fact by biased faculty. There is no room at Illinois for an individual, no place for someone who wants to learn about new ideas and concepts that may challenge their beliefs. This is not a place for intelligent people, but the sad thing is, it used to be. A degree from the University of Illinois has become a guarantee to betrayal and disappointment as an alum. I grew up adoring this place, and now it disgusts me. See More

U of I was an amazing school that gave me a lot more than I expected and paid for. Champaign was a wonderful city to be a student. It provided the perfect environment to study, party and everything else a student should do. I am extremely happy with my choice. I highly recommend it!

As a parent you get nervous about letting your child go. After going there for registration, I can honestly say, I'm not nervous anymore. This is a great place for my son to learn and grow into his own. Very proud about the choice we have made.

I could not have asked for a better college experience. The course work was engaging, varied, and as challenging as you made it. The student body was diverse on... many metrics (at least much more so than my high school). The faculty was caring and smart. Activities were enriching. And it didn't hurt that it was not only the economical option for this in-state student, but also where I met my husband. See More

Glad my daughter decided to choose to attend this college. I was a little nerveous about her attending this University as it's know as a party school. After vis...iting the school and attending the parent information sessions wow totally different perspective and I really love the school. They have so much to offer as far as resources. See More

I have been super anxious about the idea of sending my child off to college. After visiting the Orientation/Registration program at UIUC all of my fears are gon...e. The program is so well organized, and every single question I had has been answered. I LOVE this University and campus - i would had given it 5 stars except for the fact that not all dorms have A/C. Some may not think thats a big deal, but for students with allergies & asthma it is. Praying for respite from heat & seasonal allergens in central Illinois next school year.

I visited the University for the first time yesterday for Student Registration and I was fully impressed. I'm so excited for my son in becoming a new citizen of UofI. I eagerly await visiting the University for events and to see my son during his stay.

U of Illinois is just as innovative as Silicon Valley. I'm proud of its technological brilliance and unassuming people, and I always remember the Morrow Plots - the oldest corn field I used to walk past every day!

I'm done apologizing for the University and trying to explain we are not all SJW snowflakes. The recent announcement to ban a song? Are you kidding me? The alumni sticker will come off the car and Ill send a letter to the Alumni Association I no longer care to receive your magazine.
