Asia Pacific The Asia-Pacific region is at the forefront of CDMA technologies: in 1995, the first cdmaOne system was deployed in Hong Kong. In 2000, the worlds first 3G commercial network based on CDMA2000 was launched in South Korea and in 2002, the first mobile broadband services based on CDMA2000 1xEV-DO were introduced, also in South Korea. Today, Asia-Pacific is the largest region in terms of CDMA subscribers. The CDG continues its active involvement in the region with offices in Mainland China, and India. We collaborate with operators, vendors and regulators to promote the availability of broadband wireless services. The focus of our current activities is to work with regulators on spectrum and policy matters and to advise service providers on technology and business issues, assisting them with international roaming services, handset sourcing, and interoperability. We also hold press tours and targeted events, and we participate in major industry events. CDG Contact Details
