1. Why did Veolia Transport and Transdev enter into a merger?

The global public transport market is facing three major changes: shrinking natural resources, increasing environmental awareness and strained public finances. It was in order to prepare for these changes, and to meet the expectations of both passengers and transport authorities that the merger between Veolia Transport and Transdev was initiated.
