Two or three times a year, Bon-Ton Stores products are featured on Jill's
"Steals and Deals" segment on the "Today Show." The products are promoted
with huge discounts. As soon as the segment first airs on the East Coast, the

The head of HP's software business Ajei Gopal has left for Silver Lake
Partners, the private equity house teamed with Michael Dell to try to buy
Dell.
Gopal is reportedly going to be an operating partner, based in New York, and
part of Silver Lake's Value Creation team, working across the company's
portfolio to improve operations.
It's a swap. HP just hired an IBM guy out of Silver Lake named George Kadifa
to run software.
HP picked up Gopal last year from CA, which is also in New York.
Also an IBM vet, Gopal was CTO of Symantec before going to CA to oversee the
CTO's office.
