CSMC 200MM WAFER FOUNDRY ANNOUNCES COLLABORATION WITH ARM TO OFFER FREE ACCESS TO A COMPREHENSIVE LIBRARY OF ARM PHYSICAL IP FOR 130NM PROCESS TECHNOLOGY

WuXi, JiangSu, China – September 14, 2010 –CSMC Technologies FAB2 Co., Ltd. (“CSMC”) today announced an agreement with ARM Inc., to collaborate on the development of ARM leading physical IP library platform for 130nm G technology process node for CSMC 200mm wafer foundry. This agreement will provide free access to this process tuned library suite of standard cells, memory compilers and general purpose I/O through ARM’s DesignStart™ online IP access portal.
By leveraging ARM leadership in physical IP, CSMC will provide their customer a completed design platform supported by a complete set of customer proven ARM physical IP libraries. These libraries have been used in thousands of SoC designs worldwide and are tuned for the accuracy, performance, power and area requirements of analog and mixed signal products.

The complete suite of physical IP will be available for free download starting from October 2010 on ARM’s DesignStart™ online access portal, designstart.arm.com or CSMC website www.csmc.com.cn.
