Welcome

Hi. Thanks for buying, or considering whether to buy, the book "Artificial Intelligence for Games" by me, Ian Millington, and John Funge.

The book was created as the most comprehensive reference text to the artificial intelligence techniques that are actually used in modern video games. The book is now in its second edition and has been proven over the last five years. It is the most widely used university textbook for AI in games, and has a place on the shelf of many professionals working in the industry.

You'll find errata to the second edtition here. If you find an error or something that doesn't seem to make sense, please get in touch. With each printing of the book (it has sold its print run many times now, and needs a reprinting regularly) we reduce the number of errors, and make the book even more useful.

In the second edition, we removed the CD. Shipping source code on a CD doesn't make sense now the latest version of the code is always available on github. Feel free to fork it, and send me pull requests for any upgrades.
