ARM The Architecture For The Digital World

Adobe

ARM and its Partners have worked with Adobe to enable full Flash Player 10.1 on ARM® Powered™ devices from smartphones to netbooks and DTVs. Using the hardware graphics and video accelerators on an ARM SoC full HD means video delivered using significantly less power than has been seen on Flash Player before.  ARM powered devices with Flash Player 10.1 will ship 1H 2010.

ARM is a member of the Open Screen Project, an alliance to bring Flash Player 10 technology and content to devices beyond the PC. Adobe Flash is the leading platform for delivering rich Internet content, with 85% of the top 100 websites using Flash. In addition, 80% of video on the Internet is Flash Player based.

ARM and its silicon Partners have been working closely with Adobe to deliver Flash Player 10.1 on the latest ARM Cortex-A processors. Flash Player 10.1 has been publically demonstrated on a range of devices from smartphones to netbooks, including playback of HD video.
