SALT LAKE CITY, UT -- (Marketwire) -- 06/20/12 -- CHG Healthcare Services, a healthcare staffing firm based in Salt Lake City, has made Computerworld's 2012 list of "Best Places to Work in IT" recognizing organizations that challenge their information technology people while providing great benefits and compensation. IDG Computerworld is the leading source of technology news and information for IT influencers worldwide.
"CHG's leaders believe in the power of making investments in new technology," said Jai Lebo, director of software engineering. "Unlike companies that see IT as a necessary cost, CHG views IT as business partners who enable it to grow."
CHG's biggest IT initiative is to build and implement Front Office eXtreme, or FOX, a front office system built on an already existing platform but with customized solutions and components. Because of its complexity the project will require several years to complete and will ultimately improve the efficiency of CHG's 1,400 employees.
Beyond FOX, the IT team will continue capitalizing on emerging technology including Salesforce.com's Force.com, SharePoint technology for CHG's intranet and extranet, in addition to other infrastructure projects with Java solutions. To support the company's growth, CHG has an aggressive recruitment plan to hire throughout the year.
"We are hoping to grow in every way so are looking for specialists in every aspect of information technology, from customer service representatives to software engineers," Lebo said. "We are looking for self-motivated team players -- the kinds of people who enjoy seeing those around them succeed."
