13 June 2012 - London, England Triometric, the leading provider of application intelligence software today announced the availability of a new inventory availability management capability as part of its Version 6 release. The solution, powered by live XML based search data, alerts online businesses to "no inventory" & "low inventory" issues in real-time.
Capable of quickly prioritising actions for contracting teams by most searched products and booking value, the system can quickly convert inventory issues into revenue opportunities.
A YouTube video showcasing the software shows a real world example from a hotel wholesaler that identified an annual revenue opportunity of potentially $9.75 million.
In the video, the system shows the identification of a specific hotel that has "no availability" with demand levels in excess of 34,000 searches per week along with its availability for check-in dates across the next 12 months.
Jonathan Boffey, Business Development Director at Triometric explains: "We are looking at supply and demand as it happens. If the demand for any destination is picking up because of an international event or a big advertising campaign we can see that within minutes allowing companies to react quickly and contract more rooms or travel products".
"What is interesting about inventory is that many online travel organisations spend small fortunes trying to stimulate search traffic and the reality is that if they don't have the right inventory it's a waste of time." said Boffey.
Triometric's technology streamlines data extraction and the delivery of key business intelligence to run in real-time. Capable of processing over 100 million search and bookings a day it is simple to install and adds no overhead to the operational systems.
Full XML content visibility over all incoming searches also enables revenue management and marketing analysts to apply predictive markers to segment business travellers from family holidaymakers. The objective is to improve management of pricing, availability and quality of choice.
The underlying product suite, Web Services Analyzer, won Triometric a nomination of "Best Technology Supplier of the Year" in last year's Travolution Awards and has chosen by PhoCusWright to compete for this year's most game-changing innovation award in the travel industry.
