John Leguizamo has been cast as Del in the forthcoming American remake of Only Fools and Horses.
ABC is currently developing the series, which is based on one of the most popular and acclaimed British TV shows of all time.

The comedy revolves around Del, his brother Rodney, and their aging grandfather as they duck and dive in an effort to get rich quick and eventually become millionaires.
Leguizamo has starred in the likes of Spawn, Moulin Rouge! and Land of the Dead, while he is best known to video game fans as Luigi in the Super Mario Bros. movie.
Deadline broke the news, and describe the ABC take on Del as "an overly confident bon vivant and con artist who trades crap out of the back of his car, cheerful and oblivious to the fact that he is a lowlife scamster."
