With all eyes on HBO last night for the much-anticipated return of Game of Thrones, the cable channel used the opportunity to debut previews for some of their summer programming - and beyond.
Check out the first teaser trailer for True Blood: Season 5 below, followed by the full-length trailer for The Newsroom. The latter is the new series from Aaron Sorkin (The West Wing, Sports Night, The Social Network), focusing on a cable news channel. The Newsroom stars Jeff Daniels, Emily Mortimer, Alison Pill, Dev Patel, Olivia Munn, Natalie Morales, Sam Waterston and Jane Fonda. Both True Blood and The Newsroom air this summer.
In additon, HBO also released the first teaser for Boardwalk Empire: Season 3, which will debut this fall. If you've seen the Season 2 finale, you know Nucky is going to ever-darker places, which is reflected in this footage.
