At the PlayStation Vita event in London today, Sony Computer Entertainment showed off a variety of playable software demonstrations as well as announced a few new titles and confirmed its European launch library. (Note that while North American plans have not yet been announced, IGN expects many of these titles to show up on both sides of the pond at about the same time.)

Newly announced at the event were two new games from proven developers Zipper Interactive and Evolution Studios. Zipper is taking a break from MAG and SOCOM to provide the fast-action shooter Unit 13, while Evolution is shrinking MotorStorm action to toy car size with the radio-controlled racer MotorStorm RC.

Also announced at the event were a slew of minigames that use the Vita's AR Card and camera technology, including the puzzler Pulsar, the action game Pocket War, the sports games FlickBall and Table Top Sports Diving, and the casual entertainment apps Pocket Garden and Fireworks.

Confirmed for launch in European territories are the following titles: Uncharted: Golden Abyss, WipEout 2048, Reality Fighters, Little Deviants, ModNation Racers: Road Trip, Everybody's Golf, Escape Plan, Gravity Rush, Hustle Kings, MotorStorm RC, Top Darts, and Super Stardust Delta.

Additionally, a list of some of the future titles in the works for PlayStation Vita was released, including major titles as well as indies and downloadable games. That list includes:

PlayStation Vita launches in Europe and North America on February 22, 2012, following up on the Japanese release on December 17, 2011.
