The WWE's 25th annual Royal Rumble pay-per-view airs today at 8pm ET/5pm PT and will feature John Cena vs. Kane, CM Punk vs. Dolph Ziggler and Daniel Bryan in a Triple Threat Cage Match with Big Show and Mark Henry. And, of course, the hotly-anticipated 30-man "over the top" Rumble match itself.
One of the things that makes the Royal Rumble match itself so fun is that there are so many possible ways to book it and that makes typical "wild internet speculation" more fun than usual. The biggest fear is always that the outcome will be run-of-the-mill and boring; with someone who's already won multiple world titles walking away with the victory and an automatic ticket into the Main Event at WrestleMania. For example, the final two could be Randy Orton (who's rushed back from his injury way ahead of schedule) and Wade Barrett, with Orton winning. It could happen like that and, well, that wouldn't be all that thrilling, would it?
But Jericho's in the match now too. What will he do? Will he just troll us all and smile and eliminate himself? Or perhaps his "End of Days" promos will finally make sense when he brings out, I dunno, Brock Lesnar as his ultimate weapon! See, I'm just spit-balling here. And speaking of Lesnar, where is the Undertaker? He needs to pop up soon if he's going to be on "Road to WrestleMania" with the rest of 'em. And what about "hungry lions" like Cody Rhodes and Sheamus? And are guys like Cena and Kane, who already have a match on the card, in the Rumble as well? And what about Mick Foley? Yes, there are many possible outcomes and we can all just hope that the WWE picks the most interesting, satisfying one.
So who do YOU think will win the 25th annual Royal Rumble?
